A&M-Commerce Chapter of Sigma Xi (Student-Faculty Research Forum2005)
                                   The
Fourth Annual Sigma Xi Student-Faculty Research Forum

will be held Thursday, April 21, 2005, in the Hall of Sciences building on the campus of Texas A & M University - Commerce from 12:30pm to 5pm. Generally speaking, this Forum is for A& M - Commerce students, undergraduate or graduate, AND faculty, who are involved in a scientific research project either on or off campus, to present their work to the community, as well as for campus students and faculty to find out about the research that their colleagues are currently conducting. In addition, area high school students can participate, and we emphasize that FACULTY presentations have become a popular event in the forum.

Students and faculty can present their work in either of two presentation formats, namely by poster or by oral presentation. Oral presentations are formal, and last 15 minutes (followed by five minutes for questions). Poster sessions are more informal, where students and faculty are stationed near their posters to answer questions and clarify points as needed. In recent years, participants felt particularly satisfied with the poster presentations; both students and faculty felt very positive about the experience. Students and faculty submitted their proposals online (deadline was 11:59pm Friday April 15 2005).
