Welcome!
to the Official Website of the Texas A&M-Commerce Pre-Veterinary
Society.
Our Mission
The Pre-Veterinary
Society is a University organization that has been pioneered with the
primary hopes of bringing students with a like interest in
medical/biological sciences, not just pre-veterinary majors, together to
promote learning of undergraduate studies and to provide a network of
"study buddies" for accelerated learning. This close-knit group
also provides a social outlet in which ideas and goals can be exchanged
and discussed.
The objectives of this
organization shall be to:
- Promote high standards of scholarship,
leadership, character, experience, and friendship among its members
- Promote cooperation between students, faculty,
and members of the veterinary profession.
The Veterinarian's Oath
(Adopted by the AVMA House of
Delegates, July 1969, amended by the Executive Board, November 1999)
Being admitted to
the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my
scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the
protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the
conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the
advancement of medical knowledge.
I will practice my
profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the
principles of veterinary medical ethics.
I accept as a
lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional
knowledge and competence.
