A member who is under the age of 18, must be accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian on all activities away from the campus (i.e. conventions or any overnight activity) regardless of the activity.

Section 1.

Contingent upon the budget, funds shall be made available for the president and the Advisor(s) for travel to the conventions/ conferences.

Section 2.

Members wanting to attend an event must submit a letter to the Executive Committee stating why they would like the association to help with funding two weeks prior to the convention/ conference deadline. All funding approvals for travel are contingent on the budget.

Section 3.

For the Texas Honors Institute during the summer, new Members that shall be attending the University for the first time in the fall, may participate with the association.

Section 4.

For Members approved to attend any convention/ conference: if the student decides for any reason that he or she is unable to attend and the association has paid any portion of the costs, the Member is required to pay in full any costs that have been paid by the association by a date determined by the Executive Committee.
