Legal Types

If you are interested in a career in law but do not wish to go to law school, you can earn a bachelor's degree with emphasis in paralegal/Legal Assistant studies at Texas A&M University at Commerce.  The program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). You'll learn from our expert faculty and acquire a more comprehensive paralegal education than those trained in junior colleges or on the job. More importantly, you will have a marketable degree and earn a good income.

Please Note: Graduates are not authorized to provide direct legal services to the public or to practice law. Paralegals/Legal assistants work under the supervision of an attorney, not as legal secretaries, but as paraprofessionals who can do anything an attorney can do except advise clients or represent them in court.  The program does not train lawyers or legal administrators.
