Submission Guidelines

Who May Submit: Anyone may submit. The journal encourages as wide a submission range as possible, and we tend to look for the best work in a variety of genres. Copyright remains in the writers’/artists’ names. No money is paid for submissions.

Blind Review Process: The Mayo Review has a firm policy of “blind reading” of submissions for acceptance. The “blind reading process” is administered by the advisor(s) and editor. Names of submitting writers or artists should not appear on submissions. A variety of readers (faculty and student) reads or reviews and ranks the work in a process lasting several weeks, including both individual and group reading and reviewing.

Submission Requirements

We are interested in the best work in a variety of genres. Contributors may submit work in more than one genre. We suggest that you submit no more than five pieces total for consideration. Please submit your work electronically, following the specific guidelines for the genre. If your written work requires particular formatting, please also submit a hard copy. Please do NOT submit your only copy of your work. Please submit the following:
