CLiC Space
CLiC Space
As our world becomes increasingly digitized, we are expected to integrate modern technology into our workplaces, classrooms, and social networks.
CLiC (say "click") stands for Converging Literacies Center, and will become a hub for students interested in producing multimedia texts. The site is the result of a joint effort by the Gee Library and the Department of Literature & Languages. For now, CLiC will occupy a physical space shared with the Gee Writing Center on the first floor of the library.
Once CLiC is up and running, students will be able to check out laptops, digital video cameras, recording equipment and other media accessories. Space will be available for pre-screening and collaborating. CLiC staffers will also be able to provide students with basic support and instruction for using equipment.
With knowledgeable CLiC tutors available to help with putting together a photo essay or digital presentation and writing tutors nearby, CLiC will offer students an ideal combination of support for a digital age.
